Personality: Haku is a kind soul, believing that violence is something that should be used sparingly- to defend a special person. To him, a special someone can be an ally, a close friend, a family member, or a lover. He also believes that when one is defending a special someone is when they are at their strongest. While one would believe this philosophy to conflict with the life of a ninja, it in fact does not as Haku tends to use nonlethal means to dispose of enemies. Even then he regrets harming them at all- unless they attacked someone dear to him first...

Bio: Haku was born to his mother and father in a village in the Water Country. They loved him dearly and taught him to always care for others. However, this was a cursed time for the Water Country- a phobia of ninjas with special "kekkei genkai" blood limits was running amok. Haku's mother possessed such a bloodline but kept it a secret from her husband. One day, Haku awakened his kekkei genkai, causing his mother to worry his father would find out.
He did.
Haku woke up one night to hear his mother screaming. As he rushed to where she was screaming from he bumped into his own father. The man's eyes were filled with hatred and fear. He tried to kill Haku as he did his mother just a few moments before. But that was not to be. Haku accidentally killed his father. In fear he ran away...
He became a beggar and traveled across the large country-island. He was found by Zabuza Momoichi who took him in as a student and "Weapon". Zabuza treated Haku as an underling and nothing more, but the both of them shared more of a bond than they let on- sort of like a father-son thing. Zabuza even taught Haku so well that he claimed Haku had surpassed him.
Around Haku's 15th birthday, Zabuza was hired by a tycoon named Gato to assassinate Tazuna, the head of a project to build a bridge between the mainland and the Land of Waves. One of the ninja hired as a bodyguard for Tazuna met Haku- his name was Naruto Uzumaki. Haku thought that Naruto was a lot like him... for the most part. This was unfortunate as he would be forced to square off with his newfound friend and his teammate, Sasuke Uchiha. Haku was able to knock Sasuke unconcious, which put Naruto into a blind rage. Realizing that he was no match for Naruto, Haku gave up and wished to be killed, feeling he had failed Zabuza. Naruto hesitated to kill Haku, giving Haku enough time to realize he could do one more thing for Zabuza. Naruto and Sasuke's leader, Kakashi, was about to kill Zabuza when Haku took the supposedly fatal blow of Kakashi's Raikiri for Zabuza. It was thought that this killed Haku.
... it did... Haku was given a proper burial along with Zabuza, who had fallen after rebelling against Gato.
However, Haku's journey was not to end there. A few Mist Hunter-nin found the boy's grave and took the body from it. In the Mist Village, it was put through a special treatment that reanimated him. For lack of a better term, he was now a zombie. Loyal to Mei, the fifth Mizukage, Haku carries out his missions without a second thought. Still, he retains his personality to this day...
